Nestled within the heart of the Laurel Highlands, this abode is conveniently close to golf courses, ski resorts, museums, theaters, restaurants, an array of State Parks boasting splendid hiking and biking trails, Idlewild and Soakzone amusement park, as well as Ligonier Camp and Conference Center.

The Space

The kitchen graciously opens into the dining and living area, where a remarkable 21-foot tall stone wood-burning fireplace takes center stage. Adjacent to the living room, an inviting sectional couch and a wall-mounted 55″ TV provide relaxation and entertainment. On the first floor, a comfortable bedroom awaits, complete with a king bed, an en-suite master bathroom, and a walk-in closet. The kitchen offers convenient access to a laundry room, powder room, and a closet housing a vacuum cleaner. The second-floor bedroom grants a view of the creek and features a queen bed, along with barn-style doors that can be opened to overlook the fireplace, living, and dining area, or closed for privacy.

The National Park-themed bunk room ignites your inner explorer, accommodating four with a twin over full bunk bed and a loft bed featuring two twin beds. Connected by broad, weathered barn beams, a shared full bathroom stands down the open hall. The loft area offers a glimpse of the fireplace and affords views of the living and dining area and the creek. This dwelling is stocked with an array of books, games, movies, and puzzles to captivate and amuse guests of all ages. The sofa sleepers are found in the loft and the first-floor living area and a portable crib is available upon request.

Guest Access

When you rent this home, you gain access to the entire residence. From the inviting kitchen and cozy sitting areas to the thoughtfully appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, the entirety of the space is yours to enjoy. The property features a grill, an outdoor fire pit, and a seating area that overlooks the creek.

Other things to Note

Please note that the front and back doors may require a little finesse. They can both be secured by lifting up on the door handle from the inside, effectively locking the door both high and low while still allowing for the use of the deadbolt.

Most light switches are thoughtfully labeled on the switch plate.

The first-floor TV is equipped with Xfinity cable and serves as a smart TV. The Xfinity remote can be used with voice control by pressing and holding the microphone button.

The loft TV is a smart TV, best utilized for streaming. Amazon Prime Video is logged in for your viewing convenience.

Our stay was great! The house looked exactly like the pictures and was so clean! There was ample parking for 4-5 cars, on a super quiet street, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was gorgeous, had fully equipped kitchen, games, tvs, plenty of space indoors and out, felt like home, and was wonderfully clean! Outside was idyllic with the creek, fire pit, and outdoor dining. Would highly recommend and return if we are back in the area.

The privacy and easy access to the creek and outside spaces was extraordinary. The kitchen was well stocked and enough for the 10 people who can stay. There was also enough parking for 5 cars, which helped our family gather from 5 different cities. We highly recommend The Finch House and hope to return!
