The Space

This spacious yet cozy two-story cabin boasts a warm and inviting all-wood interior, spanning an impressive 2300 square feet. Inside, you’ll find four inviting bedrooms, three full baths, a charming loft area, a convenient laundry room, and a well-appointed kitchen and great room. Two generously sized porches equipped with comfortable tables and chairs provide an ideal setting to soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Crisp white bedding and “My Pillows” adorn the comfortable beds, promising a restful stay.

The kitchen, a focal point of the cabin, offers a sizable table with seating for eight or more guests. It’s equipped with all the essentials you’ll need for culinary adventures, including a stove with an oven, a microwave, a spacious refrigerator with an ice maker, a dishwasher, a toaster, a hand mixer, a tea pot, and a Keurig coffee maker, complete with complimentary K-cups, cream, and sugar. Plus, you’ll find basic cookware and place settings for at least ten guests.

The great room beckons with plush, comfortable sofas and recliners, providing ample seating for up to eleven guests. While there’s no television, WiFi is available to help you stay connected or unwind with your own entertainment.

Downstairs, a partially finished basement awaits, offering a 24′ x 30′ game room where you can enjoy lively ping pong matches with provided paddles and balls.

Our family stayed at Daryl and Rose's cabin during our annual gettogether. It was immaculately clean and roomy enough for 9 adults. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the back deck, fishing in the pond, sitting around the fire ring, playing table tennis in the basement, and watching the deer and hummingbirds. The large dining room table was ideal for meals and game playing. Of special note is how well equipped the cabin was--there was not one thing we needed that wasn't provided. If you're looking for a private retreat in a beautiful cabin, this is a great choice and we give it our unqualified recommendation. We spent one day in the attractive and historic town of Bedford, visited the Bedford Springs Resort, and experienced the weirdness of rolling uphill at Gravity Hill. Keep in mind that the cabin is off of a gravel road in the country, so an SUV or truck, versus a low-slung sedan, is desirable.

Upon our arrival, Rose was there to greet us and gave reassurance that she and Daryl would respond immediately should we need something or if something were to break, etc. We walked into an immaculate cabin stocked with just about everything needed for a four day weekend. Extra linens, cleaning supplies, well-organized kitchen and a burning candle that smelled throughout the whole house. We had a fire in the fire pit with stacked wood and even fished in the pond and caught more then several fish. Best part of the experience, Rose greeted us and provided a delicious raspberry dessert…then Daryl and his son brought over another dessert the next day. Awesome hosts!!!! We plan on going back. It was one of the best family gatherings ever!!! Thank you Rose and Daryl.

Our family of 8 gathered for Christmas week vacation from Missouri, Georgia, & Alabama. We came to spend time with family in PA. This cabin was PERFECT for what we needed. Daryl & Rose were wonderful hosts & even had homemade scones for us upon arrival! So many things are included…we did a good amount of cooking & found the kitchen to be well stocked. God provided a beautiful blanket of snow that arrived before we came & stayed until we left. We enjoyed sledding down the back yard & across the frozen pond, making a snowman, hiking, & watching the deer every morning from our bedroom & living room. The bedding, towels, & amenities are of top quality, & we rested so well. We loved the open living area where there was plenty of seating for our family. The kitchen table is so versatile for 8 to gather comfortably around, or when separated, provided a fun game table for late night competition. It was immaculate & beautifully decorated.
