This tranquil lakefront property, a mere 10-minute drive from Lake Wallenpaupack in the scenic Pocono Mountains, offers a serene escape. Guests can indulge in fishing and kayaking from the private dock, soak in the lake vistas and wildlife, and explore Lake Wallenpaupack and nearby attractions. The residence caters to families, boasting a collection of amenities like board games, a pool table, kayaks, fishing gear, a grill, a fire pit, streaming services, and more, ensuring a complete getaway experience.
The Space
Ideal for families or a close-knit circle seeking a rejuvenating retreat amidst a wooded landscape. During summer, the private dock facilitates fishing and kayaking, while the roomy deck provides a panoramic view of the lake and resident wildlife—deer, chipmunks, cranes, and groundhogs. Autumn unveils crisp air and foliage for hikes and fireside marshmallow roasts. In winter, Ski Big Bear beckons for skiing, ice fishing, and fireside cocoa sipping amid the frozen lake and snow-draped trees.
The two-story abode conveniently situates all primary living spaces (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining rooms) on the main floor, offering accessibility with minimal stairs (only two steps for entry). The recently revamped lower level features an office, lounge with a TV, pool table, and workout zone. A brief stroll leads to the lake, or enjoy the vista from communal areas or the deck.
Provided are linens, towels, toiletries, and WiFi-enabled smart TVs. This cherished second home is lavishly equipped for a comfortable stay, akin to a genuine home away from home.
Guest Access
Guests enjoy full access to the residence and outdoor areas, excluding the hot tub (unavailable). Community facilities are not included.
Other Things to Note
The lake is more suitable for fishing and kayaking than swimming due to abundant plant life during summer.
Winter visits are best served with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle due to potential road challenges caused by hilly terrain even after community and driveway plowing.
Prepare for a woodland setting! While nestled within a developed community, encounters with wildlife such as deer, bears, rabbits, insects, and various charming creatures are likely.
Respecting the peaceful locale, quiet hours after 10 PM are appreciated.
Note that gradual property enhancements are ongoing. While images are kept updated, expect potential differences in appearance upon booking—a change for the better!
