Ricketts Glen State Park Campground Reviews

“Such a beautiful place. The trail itself seems to be kept after pretty well. And there are so many different waterfalls. I loved the hike from top to bottom. It can be a bit challenging but that’s mostly because of the elevation change and all the steps/ hills. There are definitely some breathtaking shots you could capture here.” – James B.

“It is the one hike everyone should do at least once. The waterfall trail is not for the faint of heart as it is very rocky terrain and is often wet. There are a lot of stairs and uphill/downhill climbing as well. But, it is well worth it for the views you get. It is simply one waterfall after another. We recommend taking your time and enjoying God’s beauty, when you do it doesn’t seem so bad. Beautiful place! They also have a nice beach for family swimming or parties. Best of all, Pennsylvania State Parks are FREE!” – Pam P.

“Lots of scenic waterfalls to see. The hike to see all of them is a bit strenuous. Good hiking shoes/boots are a must. This is no place for sandals. There are places where the rocks are wet and slick, be cautious.” – Sam N.

“This is the cleanest state park we’ve ever seen, hike the trails through the waterfalls, not a single water bottle, not a single piece of paper, not a single candy wrapper, no trash anywhere, well kept well maintained. Kayaked the lake and the same thing no trash! The beach and facilities are kept clean, and well-maintained! We stayed at the campground and even the facilities at the campground were nice!” – Joe B.
